This weekend I auditioned for two different shows. If you do not feed your soul, you aren’t giving your work the best you. The creativity you tap into makes you the whole person who shows up to work each day. When you feed your passions, you automatically become better at the job that feeds you. What made me tired was not nourishing my soul through my passions. I convinced myself I didn’t go back to the stage because I thought the stress of a new job would make me exhausted. Resulting in a hiatus from what I loved most.
In a typical year, I performed in 5 different shows. In “the before times,” I worked my 9-5 and then turned around and played from 5-9. Why feeding your soul is more important than your paycheck. It’s been three years since I’ve been on stage, and man, that blows chunks.
